چکیده

Abstract Background and Aims To observe the clinical efficacy safety of fractionated plasma separation adsorption integrated with continuous veno-venous hemofiltration (FPSA-CVVH) treatment in patients acute liver failure (ALF). Method In this retrospective study, we enrolled ALF (serum total bilirubin>10mg/dl or Model for End-Stage Liver Disease (MELD) Score>18) hospitalized from 2017 to 2022.All received FPSA-CVVH.The primary measure was reduction ratios (RRs) bilirubin after each session FPSA-CVVH. Results 8 (68 males 10 females) were enrolled. 66 (84.6%) exhibited kidney injury required renal replacement therapy (RRT). The score MELD at baseline 22.9±7.5. concentration serum 22.05±5.94mg/dL, direct 16.33±4.60mg/dL indirect 3.43±1.60mg/dL.187 sessions FPSA-CVVH hours performed. After a single session, bilirubin, significantly decreased. RRs 52.0±7.6% 59.4±13.0% 36.9±15.4% bilirubin. 2 changed filters due blood coagulation. And other bleeding, including gastrointestinal bleeding Oozing bleeding. 29 (37.2%) survived discharging hospital, 12 recovered their function, remaining 17 still needed intermittent artificial support therapy. Conclusion novol effective ALF. It may be considered as “bridge technique” recovery function critical ill

Effectiveness of Continuous Veno-Venous Hemofiltration and Intermittent Hemodialysis in the Treatment of Severe Acute Phenobarbital Poisoning

Background: Phenobarbital poisoning is common in Vietnam. The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of continuous veno-venous hemofiltration (CVVH) and hemodialysis (HD) on clinical outcomes in the treatment of severe acute phenobarbital poisoning. Methods: This was a retrospective observational historically controlled study. 42 patients with severe phenobarbital poisoning were enr...

Blood hemoperfusion with resin adsorption combined continuous veno-venous hemofiltration for patients with multiple organ dysfunction syndrome.

BACKGROUND Blood hemoperfusion with resin adsorption can clean larger molecules that exceed the molecular weight cutoff of combined continuous veno-venous hemofiltration (CVVH). Hence blood hemoperfusion with resin adsorption combined CVVH (HP+CVVH) has higher ability of mediator clearance, and can improve clinical outcomes in theory. This study aimed to investigate the effect of blood hemoperf...

Sustained low-efficiency dialysis versus continuous veno-venous hemofiltration for postsurgical acute renal failure.

BACKGROUND In postsurgical acute renal failure patients with moderate unstable hemodynamics or fluid overload, the choice of dialysis modality is difficult. This study was performed to compare the outcomes between the sustained low-efficiency dialysis (SLED) and continuous veno-venous hemofiltration (CVVH) in these patients. METHODS Sequential postsurgical acute renal failure patients undergo...

Improvement of Oxygenation in Severe Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome With High-Volume Continuous Veno-venous Hemofiltration

The efficacy and therapeutic mechanisms of continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) for improvement of oxygenation in acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) remain controversial. These questions were addressed by retrospective analysis of severe ARDS patients admitted to the pediatric intensive care unit of our hospital from 2009 to 2015 who received high-volume continuous veno-venous he...

Hypophosphatemia during continuous veno-venous hemofiltration is associated with mortality in critically ill patients with acute kidney injury

INTRODUCTION The primary aim of this study was to determine whether hypophosphatemia during continuous veno-venous hemofiltration (CVVH) is associated with the global outcome of critically ill patients with acute kidney injury (AKI). METHODS 760 patients diagnosed with AKI and had received CVVH therapy were retrospectively recruited. Death during the 28-day period and survival at 28 days afte...
